Impression: Came here for dinner on a Friday with a couple of friends and the sandwiches were awesome! We sat at the bar which was such a fun choice bc we could watch like 10 TV screens at a time. We got the Arepas chicken, barbecue chicken, and smokehouse burger - food came out on time and the ambiance is sports bar with shabby roadside grill Arepas sandwich- loved the thin and more dense bun that reminded me of a cross between a gyro and corn bread. The chicken inside was well flavored and had spring greens and melted cheese. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, then this sandwich is super enjoyable to put down. Barbecue sauce inside was flavorful and not too sweet or heavy. Loved the smoky flavor of this sandwich. Fries- I honestly thought the fries were a little flavorless and not crispy enough. But that's what sauce is for right? And I guess If sandwiches are already very flavorful it makes sense that maybe the fries are not too salty. Roadhouse sandwich- looked to be super good- my friend god it medium rare and it was a thick sandwich- the bun was a heavier bun if you like a thicker one. Barbecue chicken- also seemed amazing. My friend put it down In 1-2 mins- All three came with fries and coleslaw. Our bar guy was pretty on time with food- they get busy so make sure you wave them down if you need something Love the TV choices- we watched basketball games, a couple of dramas and the Hobbit- bar seat was an excellent choice while you're filling the eating silence with something to do

Quick service and many different beer options. The food was DELICIOUS. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. We had the country fried chicken, baked beans, and mac & cheese. The food did not take long to arrive. Baked beans are definitely a must-try

Pride and Joy is maybe the best BBQ Restaurant in Miami, it's definitely a top 3 between Shivers and Yardbird. First, it was a very busy weekend in Wynwood and although it was crowded for outside seating, the inside was large enough to seat is without a wait. We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, so Pedro, the sever, recommended the Big Board. It includes pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, corn muffins, Texas toast and 2 sides. It was more than enough for lunch and we brought some home. Pedro was a great server. He was very friendly and helpful. My daughter is gluten free so he confirmed for us what was gluten free and what wasn't. He also brought her tortilla chips since she couldn't eat the Mac and Cheese app we ordered. I was on the fence about what beer to get for my wife and I, so Pedro asked us what type we liked and brought us 2 samples to try without us even asking if we could try it first. A lot of places will do that but most don't offer it unless you ask, him being proactive was great and helpful. The food was excellent. The brisket looked great but was devoured by everyone else. That's ok though because I had it before and can tell you it's very good. The chicken was very well seasoned and nice and juicy. The ribs might be better than my own, and I never say that. They fell off the bone but we're still tender. The dry rub they use goes perfect with the sauce. The pulled pork is good, but it's a little more savory than sweet. The only part of the meal that was sub-par was the corn. It was corn on the cob, grilled with queso blanco, so I expected it to be awesome but it was under seasoned. It had a lot of garlic on it but not enough salt. The other side we had were the fries and they were good. The corn bread was very good. Sometimes corn bread can be too dry, this was nice, moist corn muffins and they had a peach butter sauce that I wanted to drink. While eating, my son got mad at me for not having brought him to Pride and Joy earlier. It's damn good BBQ. The only thing that really separates P&J from Shivers is the sides. Shivers has some redonkulous sides, I just haven't had enough of what Pride and Joy has to offer to really compare. I also haven't had their desserts yet but they sounds like good ole fashion southern heart attack and diabetes makers, so that's great.

The smell coming out of this place is intoxicating. We had to walk a couple of blocks as part of out Wynwood food tour. The place is somewhat dark and so think it's lit only by its doors. We had waiting for us a pulled pork and cole slaw sandwich. In Miami there are not that many good BBQ joints except for Shorty's but this place looks like it has potential. Again, I will be updating my review as soon as go back and order from their full menu.

Pretty good BBQ in Miami but just okay if compared to the best ones I've tasted in the South. I like the decor, the beer selection is really nice too, and sometimes they have tap take over by craft breweries and for me that's a big plus. However, we find the brisket a bit dry, the ribs a bit bland. They offer sauces but great ribs should be flavorful without drenching it in sauce. Of the sauce, the honey mustard, vinegar and smoky are good. I'd say vinegar is my favorite if it's a little thicker. The tangy tastes too much like Chinese sweet and sour for my liking. The mac & cheese is quite popular among our group too.
